Final journey on railway remembered 60 years on

It's 60 years since the final whistle blew on a much-loved local line that once connected our beautiful city with Bournemouth. Sadly, like many others, this route fell victim to the Beeching Cuts of the 1960s, marking the end of an era for rail travel in the region.
The railway ran between Bath and Bournemouth, but was victim to the Beeching Cuts in the 1960s.
